LTCL Music Composition – 高級作曲文憑課程

此作曲課程是為準備投考Trinity Guildhall – LTCL Music Composition 高級作曲文憑考試而設。基本上共分七個單元課程，每個單元教授不同的課題，逐期按需要開辦。一般而言，學員無需順序修讀每一個單元。如能修畢單元1至5，可以參與單元6: 器樂作曲工作坊 – 寫作Part A考試作品。為考試寫作指定形式的樂曲。如無創作經驗的同學，最好先修附加單元1: 歌曲創作入門 — 電腦輔助作曲課程。完成寫作Part A考試的作品，學員才可以參與單元7: LTCL Music Composition Part B試題研習班。

每個單元之課程名稱如下:

凡想繼續進修音樂理論，加深對音樂作品的認識，又或對作曲感興趣的學員和有志投考趣Trinity Guildhall有關的作曲高級文憑公開考試，此課程是能提供必需的基礎知識與訓練。但每個單元均可按興趣自由報讀。

入學資格: 凡對音樂創作有興趣，及有八級樂理以上程度，又或已具有一般作曲經驗和能力者皆可。

單元1: 歌曲創作入門 — 電腦輔助作曲課程

課程簡介:

單元1: 歌曲寫作入門是為有志投考 LTCL Music Composition，高級作曲文憑課程，但又缺乏良好作曲基礎的學員而設的。內容簡潔實用，清楚易明。而且，為了避免音樂創作淪為級上談兵的課程，導師授課時也特別以電腦輔助，幫助學員培養音樂的聽寫能力，以及學會怎樣利用midi 幫助歌曲寫作。本課程可以說是結合了傳統樂譜寫作和電腦作曲的一個縱合性作曲課程。就算學員不打算參與作曲考試，也可以從這課程提高音樂修養，培養更佳的個人音樂感。

單元2: 器樂曲寫作原理

坊間的作曲填詞班大多以流行曲 ( Pop Music )及簡譜作為課程主體，本課程則主要探討以西方器樂模式創作的藝術音樂 ( Instrumental Art Music )及其創作意念與寫作技巧。目的是鼓勵非流行曲的現代藝術音樂創作。整個課程就內容而劃分為兩個獨立課程，分別為課程I和課程II，報讀則不分先後，按需要而開班。本課程不單歡迎那些對現代器樂藝術音樂感興趣，並想增加對作曲家的創作意念及其作品的認識和了解的學員報讀，如學員準備為Trinity Guildhall – LTCL Music Composition Part A寫作報考作品，本課程也是良好的先修課程。

器樂作曲研討工作坊 – 課程內容主要環繞著樂思與作曲技術配合的研討，詳列如下:

(1) 探討絕對音樂的創作概念

(2) 音樂素材的篩選和設計

(3) 從大師們學習 (如貝多芬，華格納，史達拉文斯基，譚盾等大師之作品研究)

(4) 淺談器樂曲的樂種，結構形式與創作的關係

(5) 音樂語言和修辭的表達

(6) 創作意念和音樂美學

如有需要，為了協助學員更有效，更熟練地寫作音樂，學員可提交其習作和作品，導師會就其作品提出改善之建議，從而提高學員作品的技藝水平。

單元3: 管絃樂隊之配器與編寫

本課程之內容通過聆聽各類管絃樂隊的樂曲，並視譜等訓練去探討各種樂器之基本運用，音色之結合，配器的技巧，以及管絃樂作品的各種織體之編寫。重點在於研究樂隊音樂的實際效果，而非單靠文字理論，並為Trinity Guildhall – LTCL Music Composition Part B考試研習班的先修單元課程，但也歡迎想加深對管絃樂作品認識之人仕及有興趣作曲者報讀。

單元4: 對位和變奏技巧

西方音樂的發展奠基於複調音樂的形成。所以，要明白樂曲的本質，甚至和絃的發展和運用，必需首先了解早期作曲家如何運用對位法去建立作品中的多層樂音線條。本課程旨在簡單討論從16至18 世紀西方音樂作品的對位技巧，變奏方法及其演變過程。本課程期望學員能通過習作去鍛鍊其作曲技巧，以及各種對位及變奏的寫作技術。查實這是一個探討全面的音樂創作技巧的課程。旨在幫助學員提高其音樂寫作，編寫等的技術水平，裝備他們從事實務上的音樂創作和準備各類樂理或作曲文憑考試。此單元同時是 Trinity Guildhall – LTCL Music Composition Part B 考試研習班的先修單元課程。

單元5: 二十世紀音樂理論與作曲技巧

有鑑於現代的音樂學習，無論是為了應付公開考試，又或增強個人的音樂修養，越來越要求音樂學生和老師們，知道更多有關二十世紀音樂的樂曲風格，和聲，和創作技巧等的知識。本課程就是針對這一個需要而設計。是作曲高級文憑課程的必修單元。
內容包括以理論分析為主，輔以音樂作品例子作研究和詮釋。研討的課題包

今天以科技主導的世界，正在向我們展示，二十一世紀經已邁向新的一頁。音樂也與我們的時代一起並肩向前。我們期望參予這個課程的同學們可以對上一個世紀的音樂有一個確切的認識，並且了解其音樂意義，好使自己與時並進，不至落後。

入學資格: 只需八級樂理或以上，又或對音樂創作有一定程度的認識就可。

單元六:

作曲原理入門 — Introduction to Music Compositional Theory

Unlike some compositional courses which are mainly pop music focused, this course spotlights on serious music writing based on western compositional techniques. After finishing the course, students are expected to achieve:

1. the basic compositional techniques for music of western-format

2. the fundamental skill of writing music for work in-needed, self-entertaining, score submission and music competition

3. enlarge the acquisition of western music for appreciation

In order to avoid composing becoming a series of mere paper exercises without sounds, the discourse involves music listening and score-reading practices. Assignments are prepared for presentation and further discussion.

The units of the course are set as follows:

1. From 18th to 20th Century main compositional practices of western vocal and instrumental music

2. Structures and styles of major western musical genres through history

3. Introduction to Contemporary music compositional techniques

4. Learning from the Great Masters

5. Composing concepts of Set-Theory, Developing Variation, and Schenkerian Theory

6. Writing for solo, chamber music

7. Discussion of the student works

Students who like musical creation, and want to advance his/her music knowledge and compositional techniques are recommended to apply this course.

Entry Requirement: Grade 8 or equivalent level in Music Theory

Language used: English and Cantonese

Number of sessions: 10 lessons (2-hour per each lesson)

單元7: LTCL – Music in Composition Part B考試研習班

本課程旨在幫助學員準備投考Trinity Guildhall – LTCL Music Composition Part B高級作曲文憑而設。主要習寫 past paper。內容如下:

1. 鋼琴變奏寫作

2. 鋼琴華彩樂段研究

3. 鋼琴與管絃樂隊的編寫

4. 絃樂五重奏寫作

學員投考此作曲文憑之 Part B 部份考試前，必需已考獲Part A之資格。
